Since Millan began his BJJ journey in 2009, he has learned how jiu jitsu has positive physical benefits, builds self-confidence, supports self-defense, strengthens continuous problem solving skills, and promotes discipline and respect in our community. His love for the “gentle art” has taught him how to escalate and deescalate at the appropriate times and situations during his two decades as a law enforcement officer. He carries numerous certified instructor credentials aimed at his career and it is evident when he instructs on the mat. Millan sets high expectations in having a safe, healthy, respectful, and fun environment while training BJJ. Want proof? Ask his students or even his own three sons who train at Poway BJJ. Oss!
